The Bird Brain Organization is a group that has a love for the outdoors and all out adventure. The organization’s mission is to inspire kids to get out of the house and explore the great outdoors through hiking, biking, climbing, swimming, camping, backpacking, and traveling to parts unknown.

The initial ask was to design a patch that incorporated aspects of the outdoors and to have the organizations main message, “Be Ready for Adventure.” As I developed the design for the patch, I drew inspiration from my own outdoor experiences and the founders love of Cockatiels. Keeping in mind that the final end product was going to be an embroidered patch I used bold simple shapes and chose only 3 main colors.

The success of the patch led to the development of stickers, magnets, and flags that could proudly mark a campsite or picnic area.
